Advice from the Streets" is a project where I explored the streets of London, engaging with the public to uncover the best and worst life advice they’ve ever received and how it influenced their lives. Through storytelling and brief interviews, participants were given a platform to reflect on and share their personal experiences. To make the project more personal and tangible, I used Polaroids, allowing participants to document their advice in their own handwriting, creating a unique keepsake.
The project had a profound impact, inspiring both participants and its audience. Many viewers connected with the shared stories, leaving comments and likes that highlighted its resonance. By showcasing the perspectives of individuals from London and Nottingham, the project created a space for vulnerability and self-reflection without judgment, encouraging participants and viewers alike to think deeply about the advice they’ve received—or lacked—and how it could serve as a tool for personal growth and development.
